POSITION SUMMARY:

 

UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE WATER DISPOSAL SUPERVISOR THE WATER DISPOSAL YARD HAND WILL MAINTAIN THE WORKABILITY AND EFFICIENCY OF THE DISPOSAL AND YARD FROM GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING TO LIGHT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. THEY'LL ALSO BE INVOLVED IN DESIGNATED PROJECTS AT THE DISPOSAL INCLUDING ASSISTING THE DISPOSAL CUSTOMERS.

  • RESPONSIBLE FOR UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE OF THE DISPOSAL AND THE YARD.
  • INSPECTS THE WATER SYSTEM FOR PROPER OPERATIONS.
  • MAINTAINS RECORDS OF THE AMOUNT OF FLUID THAT IS PUMPED. 
  • CHECKS METERS, GAUGES, PUMPS, AND CONTROL PANELS TO VERIFY CORRECT OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT. 
  • MONITORS AND REPAIRS PLANT EQUIPMENT INCLUDING CLEANING AND SERVICING. 
  • LOGS COMPLETED DAILY MAINTENANCE. 
  • ATTENDS TRAINING AS NECESSARY. 
  • ADHERES TO COMPANY POLICIES AND WORK REQUIREMENTS.
  • OPERATES VARIOUS HAND TOOLS, POWER TOOLS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT TO   COMPLETE TASKS.
  • MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME.
  • DEPENDABLE ATTENDANCE, NO UNAUTHORIZED ABSENCES.
  • FOLLOW SAFE WORK AND GOOD HOUSEKEEPING PRACTICES AS OUTLINED IN THE SAFE OPERATING STANDARDS HANDBOOK.
  • ATTEND ALL REQUIRED SAFETY MEETINGS.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES VARIOUS TYPES AND LEVELS OF JOB RELATED TRAINING WITH COMPLIANCE TO COMPANY SAFE OPERATING PROCEDURES AND OTHER SPECIALIZED TRAINING AS REQUIRED.
  • OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED BY SUPERVISOR.

 Education and Experience

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • PHYSICAL ABILITY TO PERFORM HEAVY MANUAL LABOR.
  • ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK ENGLISH TO THE EXTENT THAT S/HE IS ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AS WELL AS ABLE TO GIVE VERBAL AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS; AND THE ABILITY TO PERFORM SIMPLE MATH SKILLS USING WHOLE NUMBERS, FRACTIONS AND DECIMALS (ADDITION, SUBTRACTION, DIVISION, MULTIPLICATION AND SIMPLE CALCULATIONS).
  • MUST HAVE THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE OIL FIELD AND RELATED EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION.
  • ABILITY TO WORK AND COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH ALL LEVELS OF CO-WORKERS AND CUSTOMERS.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA PREFERRED
  • PASSING THE COMPANY’S DRUG/ALCOHOL & BACKGROUND SCREENING
  • ABILITY TO MEET REQUIRED DRIVING CRITERIA IN ORDER TO BE ON INSURANCE APPROVED DRIVERS LIST.

 Competencies:

  • ABILITY TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN MINOR AND MAJOR PROBLEMS, NOTIFYING TRUCK SUPERVISORS, MECHANICS WHENEVER NECESSARY.
  • ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND ADHERE TO ALL COMPANY, STATE, AND FEDERAL FIELD AND SAFETY POLICIES.
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF COUNTY ROADS TO FIND LOCATIONS.
  • INTERMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE FUNCTIONS AS THEY PERTAIN TO FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS.

 Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • ABILITY TO REGULARLY CLIMB STAIRS.
  • FREQUENT EXPOSURE TO NUMEROUS OIL FIELD CHEMICALS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, METHANOL, CAUSTIC, PARAFFIN INHIBITOR, SCALE INHIBITOR, DIESEL, CHEMICALS, CRUDE OIL AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
  • WILL OCCASIONALLY DO HEAVY LIFTING (UP TO 125 LBS).
  • EXHIBIT STRENGTH (LIFT 70-80 LBS) AND THE ABILITY TO REACT QUICKLY (RUNNING, DUCKING, LUNGING).
  • CONSISTENTLY EXPOSED TO ALL TYPES OF WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME (FOUR HOURS OR MORE).
  • ABILITY TO CONSISTENTLY HEAR LOUD VOICES OVER LOUD BACKGROUND NOISE.
  • CONSISTENTLY REQUIRED TO REACH, SQUAT, BEND AND LIFT UP TO 80-100 LBS.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WEAR SUITABLE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: PROPER CLOTHING THAT WILL AFFORD SUFFICIENT PROTECTION FOR ALL JOBS TO WHICH ASSIGNED; HARD HAT; SAFETY SHOE/BOOTS; GLOVES; SUITABLE EYE/FACE PROTECTION; HEARING PROTECTION AND RESPIRATORY PROTECTION.
  • ABILITY TO REGULARLY WORK IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AND FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.

  • PULLING/PUSHING UP TO 80 LBS.
  • CARRYING 0-80 LBS LESS THAN 50 FEET
