The Dispatcher will be responsible for the timely dispatch of drivers.

To qualify for this position, The Dispatcher must possess skills that create an atmosphere of pride and safety in the company and the desire to work with a winning attitude. The Dispatcher must be self-motivated, detail oriented, possess outstanding organizational skills and be able to perform a multitude of tasks. The Dispatcher must have a general understanding of all equipment that is job related, and know the capabilities of equipment, as well as drivers, to best fulfill the needs of the company as well as the customer. The Dispatcher must possess strong verbal and written skills and be able to communicate with drivers and customers in a professional manner.   The Dispatcher must have a strong enough character to administer work assignments and get results from employees.


Dispatcher responsibilities and skill requirements will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Provide front line customer service phone support – responding to customer requests, offering solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Work with the Company Supervisor team on the truck lines of business.
  • Track driver movement.
  • Provide radio contact and support for the drivers.
  • Available to relieve evening dispatcher for vacations.
  • Participate in the monthly safety meeting, and practices safety regulations and requirements.
  • Informs Yard Manger of accident details.
  • 10-key by touch and computer typing skills will be used on a daily basis.
  • Follow and adhere to all SOX Compliance Regulations
  • Provide Status Report to Management Team
  • Other duties as required



Education and Experience

Minimum Required Qualifications


High School diploma or equivalent previous experience dispatching strongly preferred.

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting.
